UTOP is well known on campus due to how much it prepares students to succeed in undergrad. The program has definitely eased my transition from high school to college as a first-generation student by establishing a network of friends and mentors. The summer program helped me practice study habits, public speaking, how to build your brand, matured with responsibilities, and offered many resources that I still use today. After the program, I received the Priscilla Kersey Excellence Scholarship and had the opportunity to meet and connect with Ms. Ciara Lilly- sharing both our goals, determination and our story. Without UTOP, my college experience would’ve been so different and it allowed me to grow into the leader that I am today!
